My Training
My Story
I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and a member of the United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA) and the New York Lactation Consultant Association (NYLCA).
I am the proud owner of Maternal Love Lactation, my Private Practice where I assist mothers and babies to breastfeed in the comfort of their own home.
I graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I also work at the Mount Sinai Hospital where I teach breastfeeding classes to mothers on the postpartum units and NICU. I have have been a registered professional nurse for 26 years, but my passion is breastfeeding. I was recognized in 2016 when I won the award for Clinical Excellence in Women's' and Children's services.
I am a wife of 25 years and mother to two sons who I breastfed for one year. I also volunteer as a breastfeeding instructor to expectant Mount Sinai employees.
My Philosophy
Breastfeeding is natural, however it is a skill and it requires practice. With the proper knowledge and support, you can have a beautiful and successful breastfeeding experience.
I believe breastfeeding is a special time of bonding and closeness. Breastfeeding should not hurt or be a source of anxiety.
Should the need arise, I would love to assist you with your breastfeeding needs.
